Tyrion says, "There is nothing in the world more powerful than a good story." For 6 seasons, Martin's GoTh gave us one; in season 7 D&D gave us only a so-so one; in season 8 D&D gave us part of a good one, but mostly a TERRIBLE one. The laughter of the nobles of Westeros at the notion of giving the people (peasant fans) what they want is D&D's Freudian slip; the nobles (the writers who actually never have written anything significant) know so much better. I think of all that was right--all the hundreds of actors, prop-masters, trainers, filmers, etc. doing their best--and then of how fitting it is that Bran the Broken (Bran the Totally Unexplained & Irrelevant) ends up as king, since in the end that's what this show became--BROKEN--by the rushed, juvenile writing of two SCHLEPPERS who will never admit that they did so. Totaly STUPID ENDING, The Monitor reserects the villain, after all that? The pathetic loser from 2 an a half men as Lex is the biggest joke of the series, he does his best but hes not lex, inspires ridicule not fear.
1 example is, the dagger disappeared from reverse flash (who ceased to exist back in season 1, then was revived with his original body God knows how without Eddie reappearing and then he got his new body again) in the last moment before his execution, despite it not existing for past 20 years.
They screwed up everything about time travel in this show. They literally pick what changes (and when) based on nothing. It makes me miss 12 monkeys (syfy show) where they did that much much better (although not perfect) or even the single season frequency. In the flash, time travel is a joke.
I watched Catch 22 from verystream 720p MP4s. Each was about 1/2G, took about 2min to DL, and looked & sounded okay on bigscreen. (Vidoza files were a little larger, but took 10x as long to DL.) The streaming was also smooth. So it looks like verystream may be openload's lovechild; all that's missing are 1080p's and MKVs.
@sswarlock (I'm assuming first in is the one who added these) THANKS.
For those who don't know the 1961 book or the 1970 movie, this has dark humor (like MASH) and is told in a kind of stream-of-consciousness order. The acting is really good (a lot of star power), but the whole thing falls just a little flat, probably because what shocked 50-60 years ago seems tame today. But for those who have served in the military, the bs is still the same (cue Bob Seger...)
I'm not a big fan of sitcoms (my favorite is and always will be MASH) but this sitcom was good and refreshing and it too, has been canceled. This sitcom I feel depicted the 70's better than That 70's Show. I was a teen in the 70's and this sitcom almost hit the nail on the head. I like it a lot better than the Conner's!
I can't believe this wonderful drama has been canceled!!!!!!!!!!!!! What are they thinking? For the People is a lot better than the new drama The Code! The actors in For the People are great for being young but I can't say that about the actors in The Code! I watched one episode of TC and knew I didn't want to watch the next episode(s).
Quite a few people feel that this episode (and the whole rushed season) betrays their trust that D&D (the writers) would not ruin the ending; they are petitioning HBO for a re-do. Whether you think it possible or not, you can show your thumbs down by signing this petition: https://www.change.org/p/hbo-remake-game-of-thrones-season-8-with-competent-writers. I signed at 97K, and the number of signers is now around 700k, cutting across race, creed, color, sex, and politics, which is pretty damn amazing.
Big Bang: a lot of enjoyable moments, likeable characters who develop believably, and an ending that makes you glad you've watched. The best comedy goes out on top. (A tie-in of Young Sheldon and a Goodbye Special follow.)
A space adventure series set 400 years in the future that follows The Orville, a mid-level exploratory spaceship. Its crew, both human and alien, face the wonders and dangers of outer space, while also dealing with the familiar, often humorous problems of everyday life.

@Phaeron this is basically just like your Whiskey Cavalier review you say you don’t hate gays (like most who seem to be appalled at the appearance of gay people in a show for some reason no coincidence there I am sure) yet you like many others who I am sure feel the same as you seem to balk at the idea that a show can have some gay characters. So what if there are gay characters gay people exist so is there any reason they shouldn’t be in the show. Other than unconscious homophobia I really don’t see why so many people have a problem with some gays in a show Is every character gay is the whole show send it around a gay character are they making it so that the gay characters in every single scene making out with the man know so why is it that they have a gay character or a couple characters in the show and everyone has to say oh you know I really wish they didn’t put gay characters in the show I don’t not like gays but really should there be gay people in the show why the fuck not even people who watch shows that are in the past that take place in the past I should say and have a problem with gays it doesn’t make sense gay people have always existed they always will exist and having them in the show is not a force as much as it is just acknowledging the reality you lov is every character gay is the whole show send it around a gay character are they making it so that the gay characters in every single scene making out with a man know so why is it that they have a gay character or a couple gay characters in the show and everyone has to say oh you know I really wish they didn’t put gay characters in the show I don’t not like D’s but really should there be gay people in the show why the fuck not even people watch shows that are in the past that take place in the past I should say and have a problem with gays it doesn’t make sense gay people have always existed they always will exist and having them in the show is not a force as much as it is just acknowledging the reality you live in
It started with some humour, but has digressed to "Next Generation retrofitted with gays", i don't hate gays, It's just i'm sick of it being thrown in my face constantly, and shoehorned into TV shoew like the "Token Black" guy of the 90's. Seems like you were a big Trek fan Macfarlane, but the acting seems pretty B-grade to the point you could airlock any of the crew including the leads and I don't think anyone would notice unless you pointed it out. Adrianne Palicki and Scott Grimes are the only characters I see injecting any believable personality into the dialogue, with Macfarlane sounding bored and droning in that monotonous tone. Humour would have made this a little more interesting for me to watch, Not Family Guy in space, as the one off interchangeable jokes used in the former is a one-off formula, I don't see being gotten away with a second time. Overall not very engaging for me at all. I always get a kick out of Norm Macdonald, you could use him for what he is known for a bit more. Dry wit and sarcasm. A blob is a lattice for a shapeshifter, use that and him more. Only my humble opinions, but was curious if others felt similar.
@stevenlhargrove……AMerican, great. But you guy's have bastardised the English language already. Thats ok, its your form of English. But pretty sure you can't say "anyone one" her here! Just joshin! Radi
@stevenlhargrove Your not dumb, but you knew that already. The ratio of dumb to smart on these msg boards is about 20% to 80%. I'll let you figure out which is the dumb complement and which is the smart. WHOOPS, now i've said that i'm gonna get gay bashed. Good job i'm a sociopath and that crap just rolls off my back like water off a duck!!! Radi
I love the way Orville (i.e Seth) presents age old human ideology from a different POV . All of the Issues they have tackled so far hit so close to home , cause we can relate and draw similarities to the problems and controversies we are currently facing . This episode is no different . This show is funny , powerful , current with the right amount of heart . I'm gonna watch Star Trek Discovery next and although I am a fan of Trek there's just no following Orville .
